The slave and lion:
In ancient times, the rich were entitled to enslave the
poor. A cruel master had many slaves. He often punished them for nothing.
The master was a sadist. Once a slave ran away to a
jungle and hid in a cave. He began to live there. One day, he came across a
lion. He got frightened. He wanted to run away. But then he observed that lion
was limping and moaning with pain. He also observed that one of his paws was
badly swollen. He saw that big thorn had pierced it. As a kind-hearted person,
he decided to relieve the wretched lion of his plight. Then he went near him
and pulled out thorn from his paw. The lion looked at him with gratitude and
went his way. After a long time, the slave was caught. The master decided to
throw him before a hungry lion. On a fixed day, the slave was thrown in to the amphitheater. The gate of a heave cage was opened and a fierce lion valuated
out. The lion came bouncing across the field. He approached the slave and
recognized him as the man who helped him in his distress. Instead of attacking
him, the lion began to lick the slave feet. As soon as a master heard the incident
of the slave’s kindheartedness and bravery, he moved to tears. He ordered the
lion to be set free again in the forest, and the slave to be pardoned and
freed.
