My dear Friend,
At last, we have succeeded in escaping the whipping and flogging of school teachers. It was my dream to be a student at the college. You even cannot imagine how excited I am to tell you about my first day at college. Dressed up in a white clean suit, I with some of my class fellows proceeded to college. We were just a furlong away from the college boundary when we observed a group of horrified students running towards us. We were alarmed.w When they came near us, they told us about a few senior students who were making the news students ' first-year fool'. We were for a moment stunned. We began thinking about whether to go onward or return. In the meanwhile, a group of senior students arrived there. They assured us that they would save us from this serious hazard. We accompanied them all the way to college. When we entered the gate of the college, they themselves asked us to dance and sing. We were stunned we could do nothing except to obey. After that, a few other students came there and asked us to stand on our toes for ten minutes. Then I realized that the punishment at school! was far less than this humiliation. However, when this predicament was over, we came to our classroom, where one of the professors told us about the differences between school life and college life. The reality was that we had already seen and obvious differences. While coming back home, I was comparing the punishment at school with the disgrace we had to endure on the very first day of college life. This is how I spent my first day at college.
