CRG Research Fellowships 2026/27 in Spain are now available.
Students interested in gaining practical research experience in Spain can explore the CRG Research Fellowships for the 2026/27 academic year. The Centre for Genomic Regulation in Barcelona has announced ten fellowship opportunities across different research projects, offering students the chance to learn within international scientific teams.
Selected fellows receive a gross monthly stipend of €700 for up to four months. CRG also provides support for return travel, with a maximum allowance of €1,000 for non-European flights or €400 for European flights. The fellowship must take place within the 2026/27 academic year. These benefits provide financial support while participants develop their research skills.
Applicants must be enrolled in an official undergraduate or MSc programme at a university. An agreement between the university and CRG is required. Funding is available only to new recruits; students already working at CRG are not eligible for these fellowships. The programme welcomes students from all nationalities, although academic backgrounds and technical requirements vary between projects.
Research options include proteomics, genomics, computational biology, cell engineering and evolutionary modelling. Applicants should read individual project descriptions carefully to understand the work involved and the skills expected.
To apply, contact the project supervisor and group leader using the details provided on CRG’s official website. Include a motivation letter, CV, reference letter and university transcripts. Your motivation letter should explain your interest in the selected project and how your academic experience relates to it.
There is no fixed application deadline. Each project remains open until a suitable candidate is selected, so applying early is advisable. Check current project availability before preparing your application.
